Boost Your Child’s Independence

Empower Your Child with Student Executive Function Coaching

Give your child tools to stay organized and on track.

Executive Function Coaching can save you from having to hover over your kid, making sure they do their homework.

Are you ready to retire from being the Chief of Homework Police?

You feel like you’re failing because you can’t make your kid “care” about school. But here’s the secret: they DO care. They care so much, it’s paralyzing them. When we teach kids executive function skills, we’re not just improving their grades. Executive Function Coaching can give them back their confidence.

Learn How to Hack Your Own Brain

Executive Function Coaching isn’t about me hovering over your kid, making sure they do their homework. I teach kids to hack their own brain. We start by figuring out how their particular brain works (spoiler alert: it’s probably pretty cool once we understand it), then build systems that work WITH their wiring instead of against it. One kid might need everything color-coded; another needs voice reminders; another needs to turn everything into a game. There’s no one-size-fits-all because, thankfully, kids aren’t manufactured in factories.

Executive Functioning is not about intellifence. It’s about brain wiring.

“Wait! You mean I’m not dumb?”

Can we talk about something that makes me want to flip tables? The number of brilliant, creative, amazing kids who think they’re “stupid” because they can’t remember to turn in homework they actually did. I mean, come on! Your kid solved every problem on that math worksheet, understood the concepts perfectly, and then it lived in their backpack for three weeks becoming one with a moldy sandwich. And now they’re getting lectures about “responsibility” when what they really need is someone to teach them how their brain actually works.

What do you do in each session?

Guided by the self-assessment and priorities established in the first session, we start with a check-in and make sure we are on track with our larger goals. From there, we might tackle organizing your binder or creating a homework tracking system. Later sessions could focus on breaking down that overwhelming science project into manageable chunks.

Will coaching undermine my kid's confidence?

We treat students as partners in their own development, not problems to be fixed. With 20+ years in practice and serving in public schools, Dr. Zeitlin understands that executive function challenges don’t mean your child is broken, just that they need different tools.

When I work with kids, I see the relief on their faces when I explain that forgetting to write down assignments doesn’t make them a failure. They aren’t choosing to be disorganized any more than they chose their eye color. But unlike eye color, we can actually do something about executive function challenges.
